The Colegio de San Bartolome de Novaliches (CSBN) has come about as a result of a comprehensive development plan of San Bartolome Pastoral Council. The school opened in June 1995 with 12 enrollees. After a year, the ever active and enthusiastic parish priest, Msgr. Anselmo P. Pamintuan started the operation of the Elementary Department with 250 enrollees. Because of its notable increase, the then Archbishop of Manila, His Eminence Jaime Cardinal Sin instructed Msgr. Pamintuan to use the basement of the new church to accommodate all the pupils. CSBN was originally envisioned to mold, support, and accompany all the members of the school community through quality Catholic education.
In 1997, a single storey building with five rooms was constructed for the High school Department. It was during the school year 1999-2000 that CSBN had its first graduates in the secondary level.
The school was recognized by the Department of Education in August 2001 to offer both a Pre school and a complete Elementary course. Most Reverend Teodoro Bacani, D.D. appointed Fr. Albert N. Delvo as superintendent of all parochial schools in the Diocese of Novaliches in the year 2003. Fr. Delvo worked intently which eventually resulted for CSBN’s complete Secondary course and government recognition in January 2004.
Rev. Fr. Victor Emmanuel Clemen took over the administration of both the parish and the school from July 2004 up to the year 2007. It was during his term that a modest office building was added for administrative needs of the school.
In October of 2009, the CSBN community witnessed the ground breaking for the construction of a new four-storey building which was inaugurated and blessed by no less than the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Bishop of the Diocese of Novaliches Most Reverend Antonio R. Tobias, D.D. on March 8, 2010. The new school building was used for the first time during the academic year 2010-2011.
